Rapp It Up is a new innovative device that secures your mobile device data by blocking all kinds of wireless communications signals. It is a radio frequency and electromagnetic interference shielding security sleeve/pocket that is made from various fabrics that provides security for cellphones and other mobile devices.
Rapp It Up is a product of Rapp it Up Wireless Security Company, headed by CEO Daniel K. Hilburn, Sr., who also came up with its design and specifications. The concept was born in late 2012, due to Daniel’s need to protect his information from being unwillingly solicited and taken from him through his cellphone. Daniel has 15 years of experience in designing components and systems in 9 fields of engineering behind him. He currently is a senior engineer for a global technology company. With Rapp it Upp, his aim is to provide a product that would block all spectrum of wireless communications used in all cellphones and mobile devices. The materials used must be pliable and must not require factory machine processes to assemble, aside from it being durable, affordable and easy to clean. Currently, the product is filed with the Patent Office.
Daniel experimented with various prototypes, which led him to his final product, which is a pouch made up of an inner layer, and outer layer, and spring frames. The inner layer is made up of synthetic cotton-like fabric embedded with a wire mesh that blocks a broad spectrum of radio frequency signals. The outer layer is made up of a nylon rip-stop specially coated with a combination of metals that deflect all other wireless signals. Meanwhile, the spring frames, like the one used in coin purses, act like the opening and closing mechanism for Rapp It Up. The result is a lightweight, easy-to-use, durable, economical and reliable product that provides guaranteed wireless signal blocking.
Rapp It Up is currently available for all types of cellphones or handsets, regardless of operating system. Daniel has started a Kickstarter campaign in order to launch Rapp it Up for all other mobile devices like tablets, and even game consoles. Rapp it Up Wireless has been collaborating with a team of material suppliers, manufacturers and graphic artists to continue the development process. The crowd-funding campaign would also enable Daniel to create products with more color options. Rapp it Up is currently available only in Golden Bronze and Daniel plans to add colors like Silver, Charcoal Black, Dark Hunter Green or Teal, and Cobalt Blue.
Daniel K. Hilburn Sr is the CEO and Chief Engineer for the Rapp It Up Wireless Security Company, which was founded on January 4, 2013, the same date that he filed the patent for the product with the US Patent Office.
Daniel served in the United States Navy as a SONAR Technician from 1987 to 1994, wherein he excelled in acoustic analysis and digital electronics. Eventually, he increased his skill set in Anti-Submarine Warfare and was later classified as Quad 0 (0000) the highest acoustic analysis designation in the US Military.
After his military service, Daniel worked as an FAA-Certified instrument technician. He also worked for two years as a field engineer for remote control (RF) systems installation for locomotives, heavy equipment and industrial overhead cranes.
Daniel also worked as an engineer for a globally leading company for ultrasonic flow meters. His work was instrumental in developing the world’s first industry-certified standard for ultrasonic flow meters for custody transfer. He also trained and perfected Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality engineering techniques, which he was able to apply in the technology used to create Rapp It Up.
